Kids Suing Mom Over Birthday Card

"Among the exhibits filed in the case is a birthday card Garrity sent her son, who in his lawsuit sought damages because the card was “inappropriate” and failed to include cash or a check. He also alleged she failed to send a card for years or, while he was in college, care packages."

Parking Rip-Offs

So I had to drop off a form at the doctor's office, and had to take a ticket to enter the parking lot.  When I came out, I put the ticket in the pay machine and it came up that I had to pay $3.75 for 6 minutes of parking.

As I ground my teeth, I walked over to the office and complained. She said "Oh, we have a 1/2 hour grace period. If you had just put your ticket in the machine upon leaving the lot, you wouldn't have had to pay."

Of course I couldn't get my money back, and there is nothing on the ticket that says anything about a grace period, nor is it on the machine that takes your money.

WTF.
